Many people say that polyester fabrics have less of a natural feel than other woven fabrics that are made from natural fibers such as cotton and hemp. However, polyester has some advantages. For example, cotton tends to wrinkle very easily whereas polyesters wrinkle less often and in less places. This means that it is ideal for things that are going to be seen such as a dress shirt or pants. Now you can have the best of both worlds if you want. There are many variations of cotton and polyesters mixes in fabrics. However you aren't going to be feeling your tie are you? I mean not against your will anyway and unless you are going to work in a lab it is likely that no one will notice the difference between a tie made of cotton or some other material and a polyester tie. As for the chemical aspect, if you are worried about being all natural and keeping these chemicals out you may want to check other things in your house such as your pillows, your couch cushions and couch cushion covers. There will likely be polyester in it. One of the things that may also have polyester in it is you carpet. That's right, polyester is everywhere so i doubt that wearing a tie out of polyester will do harm. Polyester ties have been around for a long time, perhaps even before you were born or at the very least, longer than you thought they may have been around. Polyester is not a new discovery and it has been recognized as a quality fabric for a long time. In fact two-thirds of all polyester is used in the textile market. Poly ester is also used in a variety of other things such as resin and film.
Even though polyester is wrinkle resistant to a certain degree it is possible to wrinkle it, although it takes considerably more effort to wrinkle than cotton. Polyester ties should be particularly hard to wrinkle because they are normally stored hanging. One of the main aspects of polyester ties that people find so pleasing is its resistance to wrinkling. you can iron the tie once before you wear it and be done with it instead of having to worry about if it got wrinkled on the ride or wrinkled by your suit or while you are sitting in your office or dining room table chair. However some people still prefer the more natural feel of cotton or silk and I don't think anyone can blame them. There is just something about them, although the mixed polyester and cotton or whatever material you like aren't to bad either. Why not get the best of both worlds.
I don't think you really even need to go any place in particular to find them. Polyester use is so popular that almost any place that sells ties will have a tie with or entirely made of polyester. I would ne be surprised if you had a harder time finding a place that sold ties without polyester or no polyester ties at all.
