As you may know, ties come in a variety of colors and designs as well as in a variety of fabrics. Most people only think about the material and designs on a tie as do most companies when they begin to make a tie. Many people are hired to work on the designs and the fabrics and the sewing and intricate designs sewn on to ties around the world... But what happens if you want a tie that is longer... or shorter. What then? Not all ties are the same when it comes to tie length. In fact most people after picking out a tie consider how long a tie should be. It is an inevitable question.
Ties have come a long way. It seems as if society as a whole has decided that ties should look a certain way. It isn't often that you see long ties out there. Most people don't even show their whole tie. Most ties are made to come down into the mid to upper stomach region and are normally two to three inches wide. However I am a Pretty tall and thin guy. Some people like to call that lanky. You can call it either as lanky is a funny word and I think most people would have a good laugh over being called lanky. OK, but in all seriousness i prefer to have a thinner longer tie, or just a long tie. Otherwise I just end up looking like someone who outgrew and old set of clothing.
If you are like me then I'm sure you know that long ties are hard to come by and that anything else will pretty much won't work. I have a problem where if the tie is not long enough it goes just past my chest and is 2/3 my width so it's like I am wearing the missing part of a v-neck vest.
