Ties (also known as neckties) are long pieces of cloth worn around a person's neck. Ties are shaped a bit like a pendulum. They are thing at one end and the middle then become wider toward the other end then quickly taper to a point. The thin middle part of a tie is lies under the collar of the shirt. The two ends are tied together such that the tie may be tightened and loosened around a person's neck accordingly.
Ties are most often used by men as formal wear. Often times the neck tie is worn in addition to a dress shirt with a collar and suit. Though ties originally came with very little flexibility as far as color goes. Tie designs now come in all sorts of colors. Neckies can also be striped, polka dotted and checkered as well. However the designs don't stop there. Many ties sport things that a relevant to many people, such as sports logos and sometimes cartoon characters.
The clip tie is often a more popular option among children. Due to the complexity of the task of tying a necktie the clip tie save time and is less of a hassle when it comes to children. There is no loop to be hidden beneath a collar, but never the less a collared shirt should be worn with a clip tie to make it look more natural. The clip tie clips on to the collar just below the neck. The clip is hidden behind the knot and is near invisible to any passerby.
